Wings boss Warren Feeney insists that his Welling United side have no fear ahead of Saturday’s meeting with unbeaten Havant & Waterlooville.
The Hawks come to Park View Road with seven wins and a draw under their belt from their eight league games, so far, but Feeney’s side are in excellent form themselves and can be confident going into the game on home turf.
“We respect every side,” said Feeney.
“They’ve got two good people in there, Paul Doswell and Ian Baird, and it’s going to be a tough game.
“They’re a good side, they’ve got good players, but we’ve got to be confident in ourselves where we are.
“We don’t fear anyone and I’ve never feared anyone myself as a player. I played against some fantastic players around the world.
“It’s 11v11, we’ll show them respect, they’re second in the table for a reason, but we’ve got to be confident at home.”
Welling are celebrating Non-League Day this international weekend by offering reduced ticket prices for Saturday’s game with adult tickets priced just £10 when bought in advance.
