The Wings get back on the road on Saturday as they head to Essex to take on Concord Rangers (3pm). 

Following the goalless draw at home to Slough Town in midweek, Warren Feeney will be looking for his side to convert chances into goals with the Wings in search of a first win on the road in the league since September. 

Welling currently lie in 10th place in the Vanarama National League South table with one eye on edging their way up, five points off the play-off places. 

THE OPPOSITION
After winning their first two games of the campaign, a difficult run of 12 games without a win in all competitions, including 10 defeats, saw them plummet down the table, but a recent upturn in fortunes following the appointment of Rob Small as Manager has seen them record three wins on the spin. 

A victory on the road at Dover Athletic was followed by back-to-back home wins against Chippenham Town and Tonbridge Angels and the Beach Boys welcome the Wings to Thames Road for a third consecutive home fixture this weekend.

Warren Feeney: “The boys are in good spirits. We’re looking forward to what will be a tough game – Concord have new coaching staff in and had three very good wins, so we can’t underestimate them. They’re fighting for their lives and have momentum so we have to make sure we’re on top of our game.” 

Concord Rangers Assistant Manager Gary Henty:  “It’s another tough game. Welling had a really good start to the season and will be looking to gain three points from the game. But I feel that if we can set up the team well like we have for the last few games, we’ve got every chance of winning the game.”
