Welling United are proud to be partnering with the Welling and Bexleyheath branches of McDonald’s who are the brand-new sponsors of the McDonald’s Community Stand at Park View Road.
The support from McDonald’s will ensure that the club will be able to offer more free tickets to local schools, sports clubs, charities and other local community groups and organisations.
Wings Chairman, Paul Whitehead, said: “We’re very pleased that McDonald’s have offered us their support and have agreed to be part of the Welling family.
“It’s so important for this club to play our part in the local community and their sponsorship will help us to reach out to all of those community groups and organisations who could really benefit from joining us here at Park View Road. “
Wendy Guest, Supervisor for Greg Abbott of Galms Ltd, a franchisee of McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd, added: “For many years our organisation has been committed to supporting all the communities in which our restaurants operate, with a focus on grassroots football and many other local business initiatives close to our restaurants.
“In the past few years we have made some valuable contacts within the footballing community including sponsorship of the local football teams not only with Welling United, but other associations such as Danson U15 Blues and AFC Unity U15 Blues.
“We take great pride in being asked to enter into a new sponsorship arrangement for the stand in 2022/23, and wish Welling United every success in the year ahead.”
McDonald’s’ branding will adorn the stand at the cricket ground side of the stadium with the official naming ceremony of the stand taking place ahead of Saturday’s match against Weymouth at Park View Road.
