Welling United will be celebrating Trade Union Day at Park View Road for the clash against Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday, January 14th.
The Vanarama National League South fixture will be sponsored by the Trade Union Football & Alcohol Committee [TUFAC] with trade union members able to receive discounted entry on production of their trade union membership cards, while local trade union branches will be encouraged to bring their banners and they will be displayed during the game.
Mark Colombini of TUFAC said: “The TUFAC concept is simple; to use our shared love of football, music, beer, and travel to bring together and organise Trade Unionists in social environments, promoting fundamental Trade Union principles and ideals such as solidarity, antiracism, anti-homophobia and in particular antifascism.
“Since the 1970s, the far right has used the terraces to great effect in spreading ignorance and hate. TUFAC now works to turn it around using that same platform to communicate a positive and progressive philosophy.”

Trade union members can receive discounted entry on production of a valid membership card. Union members can also use an online discount code which will be shared by TUFAC and individual unions. Please note that proof of membership will be required on the turnstiles if using a discount code.
