Welling United’s Vanarama National League South fixture against Hemel Hempstead Town at Park View Road on Saturday has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. 

Although temperatures had risen above zero on Saturday morning, parts of the playing surface remained frozen, particularly those areas of the ground which remain in the shade, despite frost covers being in place.

Staff were in from 5am on Saturday morning to work on the problem areas of the pitch, but with those areas having failed to thaw, the decision was made to postpone Saturday’s fixture. 

Any tickets already purchased for the match will be valid for the re-arranged fixture. 

A new date will be announced once confirmed.
