Wings boss Warren Feeney sat down to discuss the club’s recent trip to Northern Ireland which saw the first-team squad train and bond in Belfast as Welling United establish links with Larne Football Club.
In the in-depth interview, Feeney explains how the connection came about as well as the benefits to the club, while also discussing how important a part the trip played to the togetherness of his players and staff.
The interview also sees Feeney discuss the club’s links with the USA-based programme Soccer Universities, which aims to create a pathway for young aspiring athletes to continue their education while pursuing their dream to be a professional soccer player.
The club have, so far, hosted a number of young players from the programme who have trained alongside the Wings during first-team training sessions with more news to come about the partnership.
