Wings duo Sam Cox and Kai McKenzie-Lyle have received international call-ups for Guyana for their upcoming CONCACAF Nations League fixtures.
Cox, who skippers his country, and stopper McKenzie-Lyle will join up with the Golden Jaguars squad ahead of their National League Group B tie away in Bermuda on Saturday, March 25th (6pm GMT), before Guyana host Monserrat on Tuesday, March 29th (kicking off at 12am BST on Wednesday, March 30th).
Guyana currently sit in second place in Group B with four games played, four points behind leaders Haiti.
The Group B winners will earn promotion to League A, as well as a place at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup in June.
The sides that finish second in League B advance to the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup qualification tournament, which will determine the competition’s final three teams.
Cox will be be hoping to add to his 29 caps earned, so far, for his country, while McKenzie-Lyle will be looking to reach double figures with nine caps already under his belt.
The pair’s international recognition will mean that they will both be unavailable for Welling United’s fixtures against Taunton Town, Bath City and Chippenham Town.
