Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of goalkeeper Fraser Barnsley on a short-term loan from Oxford United.

The 18-year-old stopper is a product of the U’s youth system and has impressed during their run to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup, which ended with defeat at Manchester City earlier this month.

Barnsley has previous experience in senior football from a loan spell at Evesham earlier this season and he now arrives at Park View Road to give Warren Feeney another option between the sticks with Myles Roberts recently sitting out with a knock and Kai McKenzie-Lyle currently on international duty with Guyana.

He will be available for selection for Tuesday evening’s clash with Taunton Town.
