Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of forward Kareem Isiaka back to Park View Road ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks of the Charlton Athletic academy, starring for the Addicks’ U18s and U23s before spending a short spell with the Wings in 2020.
In March 2021, he ventured abroad to Iceland with UMF Víkingur Ólafsvík and returned to Britain in 2022 with Arbroath in the Scottish Championship prior to a move to Billericay Town in January, where he impressed for the second half of last season.
He now re-joins Welling following a successful trial which saw him shine in the first half of Tuesday evening’s 2-2 friendly draw with Luton Town, winning the penalty which opened the scoring.
“It feels good to be in a good environment,” explained Isiaka.
“As a player, the main thing is feeling wanted. Speaking to Danny, it feels like the right decision signing here.
“I’m looking forward to starting the season, seeing what we can do and, hopefully, getting those three points.”
Meanwhile, Wings boss Danny Bloor added: “It was pretty evident to see after his performance against Luton in the friendly on Tuesday that we had to sign him.
“He will give us a different option up front alongside our other options in Alex MacAllister and David Kamara.”
