Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of full-back Cameron Green ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 24-year old began his career as a youngster with Reading, before moving on to Watford where he embarked on a loan spell with Braintree Town during the 2019/20 campaign.

After departing the Hornets, he joined Wrexham in the National League and spent time on loan at St Albans City before going on to make 14 appearances for the Red Dragons in 2022/23.

After a spell at Hayes & Yeading, he joined Bromley in February, making one league appearance for the Ravens, and now joins the Wings to bolster Danny Bloor’s defensive options.

“With the season starting, it’s nice to have somewhere can call home,” explained Green.

“Hopefully I can hit the ground running. I’m an energetic full-back, I look to get forward, get crosses into the box and create chances. Hopefully, I can have a positive impact on this team.

“It’s a big season for me to show what I can do.”

Wings boss Bloor added: “Cameron has got a fantastic left foot and can play anywhere on the left. It’s an area of the squad we needed strengthening.

“His character both on and off the pitch will be beneficial for us.”
