The Wings bounced back from last week’s disappointment at Torquay United with an encouraging performance against the Stones on Tuesday evening and Danny Bloor will be hoping his side can go one bet to secure all three points against Chippenham in order to start climbing up the National League South table.

Bloor may have a decision. to make between the sticks with Ben Winterbottom available again having recovered from a concussion, but with academy stopper Javarn Pitterson earning praise in midweek, he has made a case to potentially make his second league start on Saturday.

Mitchell Dickenson will remain sidelined through injury, while James Vaughan’s fitness will continue to be assessed.

Meanwhile, Will Wood will be available for the Wings again having returned from his loan spell at Cray Wanderers.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Danny Bloor: “I was absolutely delighted with the boys on Tuesday. We now look ahead to Chippenham which will be another tough game – there’s no easy games in this league, as we know.

“Chippenham are a good side and well-managed by Gary Horgan and it’s a game we’re really looking forward to. The boys have been working really hard and are in good spirits, that game against Maidstone was very beneficial after the disappointment at Torquay.

“It’s very much onwards, upwards and forwards.”

Chippenham boss Gary Horgan: “We’ll do our work on Welling – Danny is a good manager with a decent track record of success – so they will be a team that will likely improve and improve as the season goes on.

“I have no doubt it will be a tough game.”
