Ahead of World Mental Health Day on Tuesday, October 10th, staff from Mind in Bexley, a mental health charity, will be on hand at the J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon for Welling United’s game against Farnborough for anyone who may want to talk to them or find out about their services.
Mind in Bexley is an independent, user-focused charity providing quality outcome-based services to make a positive difference to the mental health of the people of Bexley.
They believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone and work to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, support people in their recovery and champion better services for all.
Mind believe that with the right support and resources everybody can create a life that feels meaningful irrespective of the presence of symptoms.
Staff will be on hand from 1.30pm to talk to any supporters who may want to talk or find out more with leaflets available providing information on all of Mind’s services.
One of the key services is Mind’s Crisis Cafe which provides one-to-one mental health support for anyone who may be in need. The Crisis Cafe is open every evening from 6pm to 10pm, Monday to Sunday with no appointments necessary.
