Welling United are delighted to welcome goalkeeper James Holden from Cambridge United on a short-term loan deal.
The 22-year-old stopper began his career as a youngster at Reading, taking in loan spells with Bognor Regis Town, Bracknell Town and Maidenhead United before making the permanent switch to Cambridge in 2022.
He also spent a short stint on loan with Dulwich Hamlet last season, making three appearances in the Vanarama National League South.
Holden now joins the Wings on a 28-day loan to cover the absence of Ben Winterbottom, who suffered a concussion in the FA Cup defeat at Boreham Wood and is eligible to make his Wings debut at Torquay United on Saturday afternoon.
