Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook, who returns to the J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium for a second spell with the club.
The 29-year-old stopper is a product of Arsenal’s academy and has represented the likes of Bury, Coventry City and Swindon Town, racking up 76 EFL appearances throughout his career.
Charles-Cook also spent time at Nuneaton Town, Shrewsbury Town, Macclesfield Town and Boreham Wood, before embarking on a spell with the Wings during the 2020/21 season, playing alongside his brother Anthony Cook.
Moves to Bromley, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Dartford followed before a move back to Bromley in 2022, enjoying success as the Ravens’ number one for the majority of the season, making 33 National League appearances on the way to the play-offs.
After representing Havant & Waterlooville earlier this season, he now arrives in DA16 to provide more competition between the sticks for Danny Bloor’s side, with Ben Winterbottom recovering from a groin injury.
