Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of forward Daniel Carr from Sevenoaks Town.
The 29-year old began his career through the academy at Reading, before joining Eastbourne Borough and then Dulwich Hamlet, where his goalscoring exploits earned him a move to the Championship with Huddersfield Town in 2013.
Loan spells with Fleetwood Town, Mansfield Town and Dagenham & Redbridge followed, prior to a permanent move to Cambridge United in 2015.
Carr would go on to represent Aldershot Town and Woking before making a return to Dulwich Hamlet for the 2016/17 season and he would then embark on a career abroad, first with Swedish side Karlstad BK before enjoying a successful spell in the Irish top flight with Shamrock Rovers.
Moves to Cyprus (Apollon Limassoi), Finland (Rovaniemen Palloseura) and India (Bengaluru United) followed before finally returning to England with a first spell at Welling in 2021, scoring twice in eight league outings.
He then returned to Ireland with Shelbourne in 2022 before joining Sevenoaks Town in January 2023 where he has plied his trade since – impressing in a Kent Senior Cup clash against the Wings in November by netting a hat-trick.
Danny Bloor now brings him to DA16 to bolster his attacking options.
Carr is a Trinidad & Tobago international with six caps for his country under his belt.
