Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of forward Mbunya Alemanji.

The 19-year-old striker started his career within Cambridge United’s youth setup before securing an eye-catching move to Serie A giants AS Roma in 2020, joining the Italian club’s academy.

He headed to Portugal to join top-flight outfit Rio Ave for a six-month spell in 2022 prior to embarking on a spell in Croatia with NK Croatia Zmijavci last March. 

Alemanji made the decision to return to England last summer, linking up with Billericay Town briefly before stepping up to the National League North with Bishop’s Stortford in November.

An impressive stay with the Blues saw him net six goals in 14 appearances and he now joins the Wings to help bolster Danny Bloor’s attacking options.
