Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale.

The 24-year-old came through the academy ranks at Chelsea, winning the FA Youth Cup, before making the move to Fulham in 2019.

A two-year stay at Craven Cottage saw him embark on a loan move to Colchester United before joining Weymouth for the 2021/22 campaign.

Spells with Gloucester City, Hendon and Met Police followed before Taylor-Crossdale joined Welsh Premier League side Haverfordwest County last term, netting 12 goals in 33 appearances, including four outings in Europe as part of his side’s UEFA European Conference League qualifying campaign.

A former England youth international, he has represented his country at U16, U17, U18 and U20 level, scoring eight times in nine appearances across the various age groups.

Taylor-Crossdale now becomes Rod Stringer’s latest signing as he builds his Wings squad for the 2024/25 campaign.

Speaking after signing at Park View Road, he said: “It’s a pleasure to be here and I can’t wait to get started. Rod reached out and wants me to get scoring goals and that’s what I’m going to do.

“I’m a player that likes to excite the fans. I like to score goals, but I also like to help the team – if I’m not scoring the goals, I like to help others score goals.”
