Welling United’s next pre-season test comes in the form of a trip to the Artic Stadium to take on Cray Valley (PM) on Saturday (1pm).

The Wings have continued to impress as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season, most recently claiming a 3-1 victory at Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday evening.

Cray Valley enjoyed a hugely-successful season last term, winning the Isthmian League South East Division title, earning promotion to the Isthmian Premier, while also enjoying run to the first round proper of the FA Cup, taking Charlton Athletic to a replay following a 1-1 draw at The Valley.

Their pre-season programme has seen them defeat Corinthian 6-1, before sharing a goalless draw with South Park.

That was followed by a 5-1 home defeat to Ebbsfleet United, prior to a 5-0 win over Sevenoaks Town last weekend.
