Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of winger Harvey Walker.
22-year old Walker came through the academy at Aldershot Town before making the move north of the border to Scotland last summer, joining Queen of the South.
He made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish League One side in 2023/24, scoring two league goals, and now returns to England as Rod Stringer’s latest signing as he continues to build his squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
“It’s been in the making for a while and I’m really happy to be here – I can’t wait to get going,” explained Walker after putting pen to paper for the Wings.
“I’m hard-working, I’m direct and I like to take people on. I love one-on-one situations. I’m a lefty and like to go on the outside and get crosses into the box so strikers can score goals, but I like to come inside to link up as well. I’m direct, high energy and pacy!”
“This feels like the season where I can finally showcase and show everyone what I’m about. I’ve had to do a bit of waiting with my injuries, but now I’m in perfect condition and perfect shape to finally show everyone what I can do.”
