Welling United will be looking to bounce back with a Monday night trip to Hemel Hempstead Town (7.45pm).

The Wings suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of newly-promoted Chesham United with 10 men at Park View Road on Saturday, but only have to wait two days before they can dust themselves down and go again.

That loss to Chesham represented Welling’s first home league defeat since early January and they will be hoping to pick up their first three points on the road this season having been defeated at Bath City and picked up a point at Hornchurch in their other two outings on the road.

Rod Stringer’s men will continue to be without the injured Zain Walker, while Harvey Walker is a long-term absentee.

Martell Taylor-Crossdale will be available following his dismissal at the weekend, with his one-game suspension kicking in for Saturday’s home clash with Torquay United.

THE OPPOSITION

The Tudors have made a strong start to their campaign and have yet to taste defeat, so far.

They currently sit in second position in National League South with four victories and two draws from their six games, so far.

Hemel come into the game off the back of a 4-2 victory over Bath City on home turf on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT

Welling United claimed a vital win on the road as they beat Hemel Hempstead Town 2-1 on their last visit to the Focus Community Arena back in January.

David Kamara’s goal gave the Wings the lead which all-but secured the points before the hour mark, before a frantic injury-time period saw new arrival Mbuyan Alemanji score a second, while the hosts pulled a consolation back.
