Welling United hit the road and head to Berkshire on Saturday as they take on Slough Town at Arbour Park (3pm).
After five straight defeats in the league and FA Trophy, the Wings will be hoping to arrest their run of form and aim to look up the Vanarama National League South table.
Rod Stringer’s men come into the game in 20th position, four points ahead of the bottom four, although each of the four teams who lay below have a game in hand.
In terms of team news, Welling will be checking on the fitness of Rhys Lovett with the goalkeeper having been sidelined in recent weeks after sustaining a head injury and a broken finger during the recent trip to Dorking Wanderers.
Meanwhile, Daniel Martin is likely to remain absent through injury, while Zain Walker will also miss out having been forced off last weekend.
Gene Kennedy will be assessed after the midfielder also picked up an injury last Saturday, while Dave Winfield will serve the second game of a two-match suspension having accumulated five yellow cards before his subsequent dismissal against Truro City.
THE OPPOSITION
Slough currently occupy seventh position in National League South with eight wins, four draws and five defeats from their 17 games, so far.
They come into the game following back-to-back wins having got past Chatham Town on penalties in the FA Trophy last weekend and earning a 3-2 home victory over Dorking Wanderers four days earlier.
The Rebels will be without defender Lexus Beeden following his dismissal last weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wings’ last trip to Arbour Park came on the final day of the 2023/24 season back in April as the sides shared a 1-1 draw.
Reece Grant put Welling ahead with 19 minutes remaining, before a John Goddard penalty six minutes later levelled matters.
Meanwhile, the Wings’ last victory at Slough came in memorable fashion back in February 2023 as George Alexander fired a first-half hat-trick to earn a 3-0 win.
