The games continue to come thick and fast as Welling United return home to host Tonbridge Angels at Park View Road on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).
Rod Stringer’s men will be looking to build on an excellent three points earned at Slough Town on Saturday with the Wings beating the play-off hopefuls 3-2 for a first victory in five league outings.
That victory will give Welling plenty of confidence as they look to climb the National League South table. They find themselves in 18th position with 19 points, seven points clear of the bottom four.
Harvey Walker remains a long-term absentee through injury. Meanwhile, Zain Walker will be hoping to be involved having been forced to miss out at the weekend, although Daniel Martin remains a doubt.
THE OPPOSITION
Tonbridge currently occupy 13th position in the league table with six wins, three draws and three defeats from their 15 games played, so far.
They come into the game with just one win in their last five outings in all competitions – a 2-0 home victory over Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wings came from two goals down to secure a vital point against Tonbridge Angels the last time the sides met at Park View Road back in February as Sonny Fish’s injury-time leveller forced a share of the spoils.
The hosts found themselves at a two-goal disadvantage going into half-time, but an excellent second-half showing saw Jason Adigun reduce the arrears, before Fish popped up at the death to earn a deserved point.
