Welling United return to Park View Road on Tuesday evening as they host Hampton & Richmond (7.45pm).

The Wings will be hoping to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointment at Torquay United, which saw them suffer defeat despite an excellent performance against the league leaders.

Rhys Lovett is likely to miss out again with injury, while Sam Cornish is also a doubt after being forced off at the weekend, while Elliot Long’s fitness will be monitored having been sidelined with an ankle injury in recent weeks.

Harvey Walker remains absent as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg.

THE OPPOSITION

The Beavers occupy 13th position in Vanarama National League South having picked up eight wins, eight draws and seven defeats from their 23 games played, so far.

They come into the game having enjoyed a rest at the weekend with their game against Boreham Wood falling foul of the cold snap.

Their last outing saw them lose 2-0 to Spennymoor Town in the FA Trophy on January 4th with 10 men after James Roberts was given his marching orders deep in injury time.

In the league, they’ve hit a decent vein of form with four draws and two wins in their last six games.

LAST TIME OUT

Welling claimed a heroic victory over Hampton & Richmond the last time the sides met at Park View Road in January 2025.

Despite falling behind in the first half, the hosts rallied in the second, levelling up through Adam Roscrow.

The Wings were reduced to 10 men shortly after when Tristan Abrahams was given his marching orders, but it mattered not as Lachlan Byrd’s header claimed all three points for Welling in new boss Rod Stringer’s first game in charge.
