Welling United return to action as they take on Dorking Wanderers at Park View Road on Saturday (3pm).

Having picked up just one point from their last three outings, the Wings will be hoping to cause an upset against the league-leaders as they once again look to distance themselves from the bottom four with the gap having been closed in recent weeks.

In terms of team news, Chiori Johnson and Finn Ballard-McBride will have their fitness assessed ahead of this weekend’s clash after the duo missed  out at Enfield Town in midweek.

THE OPPOSITION

After two seasons in the National League, Dorking returned to the sixth tier this season following relegation last term.

Marc White’s are be eyeing up an immediate return and they have found themselves firmly in the automatic promotion conversation, coming into Saturday’s game sitting top of the table.

They have secured 18 wins, eight draws and seven defeats from their 31 games played, so far, and are unbeaten in their last six outings, winning five and drawing one.

Dorking’s last test came in the form of a 1-0 win at home to Tonbridge Angels on Tuesday evening.

LAST TIME OUT

Dorking took all the points when the two sides met back in October.

The hosts took the lead after 17 minutes before Wings stopper Rhys Lovett was forced off with a head injury, leading to TJ Bramble having to switch from midfield to deputise between the sticks.

Welling fought valiantly, but Dorking added a second with 12 minutes remaining, before Chiori Johnson netted a consolation late on.
