Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of striker Scott Kashket.
The 28-year-old forward arrives at Park View Road for a second spell with the club following a loan stay from Leyton Orient as a youngster in 2016, having since secured a wealth of EFL experience with 284 League appearances under his belt.
Kashket emerged through the youth academy at Orient, making 22 senior appearances for the O’s and taking in a seven-game stint with the Wings before making a permanent move to Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2016.
He enjoyed a successful five-year stay with the Chairboys, helping them to promotion to the Championship via the play-offs in 2020 before making netting four goals in 29 second-tier appearances the following season.
In total, Kashket made 129 appearances for Wycombe, scoring 31 goals, prior to a move to Crewe Alexandra for the 2021/22 season. A year with Alex was followed by a switch to Gillingham, making 36 appearances for the Gills during the 2022/23 campaign, before joining Sutton United last season.
Following Sutton’s relegation into the National League last term, he spent time with Hornchurch having joined the National League South newcomers in September and now re-joins the Wings in a bid to bolster Rod Stringer’s attacking options for the run-in.
