Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of midfielder Jez Davies on loan from Salford City.
The 20-year-old came through the academy at Tottenham Hotspur before making the move to Burnley in December 2022. After an 18-month stay at Turf Moor, he joined Salford on a permanent basis in January 2024, making his senior league debut off the bench in a 3-1 victory over Morecambe two months later.
Davies has since made three further appearances in the Football League Trophy and Carabao Cup, netting a brace in the former to help his side to a 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers U21 in November.
Earlier this season, he embarked on a loan spell with National League North side Marine, prior to a loan move to Ebbsfleet United in December.
He represented Fleet on six occasions in the National League and now arrives at Park View Road to bolster caretaker boss Brian Statham’s options in the middle of the park for the run-in.
