Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of goalkeeper Jack West-Astuti.
The 26-year-old stopper hails from Melbourne, Australia and spent time in the Melbourne City academy before heading to Italy where he represented Ciliverghe, RC Cesena and Taranto, before heading back to his homeland with Moreland Zebras in 2019.
West-Astuti made the move to England in 2020 with Chelmsford City, before joining Barking, Hythe Town, Aveley, Waltham & Hersham and Haringey Borough, before making a return to Aveley last season, while also training with Charlton Athletic’s first-team during the 2024/25 campaign.
He now joins Lee Martin’s squad as the new Wings boss continues to build his side for the 2025/26 season.

Speaking after becoming a Welling player, West-Astuti said: “I’m very excited to be here. We’re here to win and with the Manager’s ideology and how he wants to play, very progressive from the back, it’ll help us play some really nice football that the fans are going to like, so I can’t wait to get out there and show what we can do.”
His new boss Martin added: “We are thrilled to welcome Jack on board.
“He was strongly recommended to me by Chris Solly and Stephen Henderson at Charlton, where he served as a training goalkeeper.
“Jack is a fantastic individual who is now eager to take on that role of being a number one.
“He possesses excellent stature and is a brilliant shot-stopper, so I’m excited to see what he can do.”
