Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of winger John Ufuah.

The 26-year old joins from Chatham Town off the back of an impressive season in which he hit 27 goals and assists after joining the Chats in October.

Ufuah secured a move to Slough Town last summer, before making the switch to Kent with Chatham in October.

Speaking after signing for the Wings, he said: “It feels really good, this is a massive club and I’m local to the area so it’s something that I’ve kept my eye on over the last few years. I’m pleased to get the deal done.

“I’m an attacking player, I like to score, get assists and create, so hopefully I can replicate the stats I’ve had over the last couple of years here.”

Meanwhile, boss Lee Martin added: “I’m thrilled to able to announce John. He’s an incredibly-exciting player, extremely quick and has a real eye for goal.

“John provides us with a unique option to stretch the pitch and go beyond, which will be vital as we progress through the course of the season.

“I’m genuinely excited to witness the sort of impact he can have, within our style of play.”
