Welling United suffered defeat to Ramsgate at Park View Road on Tuesday evening.
It was a game which was ultimately spoiled by some extremely questionable decision making from the officials, resulting in the home side being reduced to 10 men before the half-hour mark in hugely controversial circumstances, giving them an uphill battle for the remainder of the night.
Welling saw an early chance go begging when Greg Cundle was played into the box over the top of the Rams defence before firing just over the bar.
But moments later, it was Ramsgate who took the lead via Mitchell May, who finished after a goal-kick was flicked on into the box.

The flashpoint came on 24 minutes when Cundle raced onto a ball down the left wing and was cleared out by an atrocious high challenge which was worthy of a red card by anyone’s standards with the exception of the referee and his assistant who, between them, deemed it a yellow card offence.
Shakpoke, incensed by the dangerous challenge was shown a straight red card for his reaction after some pushing and shoving, while boss Lee Martin was also dismissed for his complaints and it was hard not to sense a real feel of injustice unfolding under the lights in DA16.
The dismissal all but ended the match as a spectacle aw the away side took control with their numerical advantage.

Indeed, they doubled their lead in the 34th minute through Mitchell May, before adding a third deep in first-half injury time via Donvieve Jones.
The Wings did their best to battle after the break and pulled one back through Cundle who bravely poked past the keeper, suffering an injury in the process.
But it was too little, too late with Ramsgate adding a fourth in the 83rd minute when Joe Taylor slotted home.
Next up for Welling is a trip to Carshalton Athletic on Saturday.
