A summary of the FA’s update to clubs can be found below:

  • The FA will conduct an immediate review, working with leagues, clubs and relevant stakeholders across the game.
  • The focus will be on the safety of concrete pitch perimeter walls and boundaries around pitches in the National League System.
  • The review will look at ways in which the FA can assist clubs to identify and implement additional measures at stadiums that they determine will help to mitigate any potential safety risks.
  • The FA will engage a third party with appropriate expertise in health and safety to advise clubs and assist them in complying with their health and safety obligations. Clubs will not be required to pay for these advisory costs.
  • Relevant clubs will be contacted in due course. Where it is recommended that clubs make changes, the FA will work with clubs to support them in implementing these recommendations.
  • The FA, working with the Premier League and other football stakeholders, recognise the potential financial implications, particularly for National League System clubs, and are considering the best way forward in parallel with this work.

The club will continue to be guided by the FA’s pending review and provide further updates regarding any relevant works to be carried out at Park View Road when possible.
