Welling United return to action in the Isuzu FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon as they head to Brentwood Town in the first round proper (3pm).

The Wings booked their date with the Essex outfit thanks to an impressive 3-0 victory over Royston Town in third qualifying round earlier this month, while Brentwood secured a 2-1 victory at Westfield.

Welling will be without Logan Dobbs, who will begin his three-match suspension following his dismissal in the 2-1 win at Ramsgate.

THE OPPOSITION

Brentwood have enjoyed an excellent start to life at step four following their promotion last season, currently occupying top spot in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

They have won nine, drawn two and lost just one of their 12 games played, so far – their only defeat coming against Canvey Island on October 14th with the league’s bottom club claiming a 3-2 success.
