Welling United face their sixth consecutive game on the road as they head to St Albans City on Saturday (3pm).
The Wings will be hoping to continue their good form under interim boss Rod Stringer after recent wins at Royston Town in the FA Trophy and Tuesday’s victory at Ramsgate.
Skipper Jack Paxman will be available again having served his one-match suspension in midweek. Logan Dobbs will also be available, with his suspension kicking in next weekend following his midweek dismissal.
TQ Addy and Christian Scott both remain doubts through injury.
THE OPPOSITION
Like Welling, St Albans suffered relegation from the National League South last season. They currently sit in 14th position in the Isthmian League Premier Division table with three wins, three draws and three defeats from their nine games played, so far.
They have hit good form in recent weeks and are unbeaten in 10 across league and cup with their most recent outing coming with 1-0 victory over Banbury in an FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay in midweek.
With their last five games coming in either the FA Cup or FA Trophy, they have not played a league fixture since September 23rd – a 3-0 home win over Lewes.
LAST TIME OUT
Welling’s last trip to St Albans City came last October with Rod Stringer’s men claiming a 1-0 victory.
Anointed Chukwu’s 15th-minute strike proved to be the difference in Hertfordshire with the Wings putting in an excellent second-half defensive display to earn three deserved point and halting a run of five straight defeats.
