Welling United Football Club have been made aware of inappropriate and discriminatory remarks posted on social media by an individual associated with our supporter community.

Let us be clear: this behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Welling United Football Club operates under a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, harassment or abuse. This includes—but is not limited to—conduct targeting an individual’s sex, race, colour, weight, size, religion or belief, national origin, age, marital or partnership status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression. Such actions go against everything our club and community stand for and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

We stand in full support of The Isthmian League and The Football Association’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion across all levels of the game.

Together, The Isthmian League and its Member Clubs are dedicated to promoting fairness, respect and opportunity for everyone. We recognise that inequalities exist, and we are committed to addressing them—ensuring that all who play, support, or work in football can do so in an environment that is safe, inclusive, and free from hate.

Welling United Football Club is taking decisive action to remove any individuals responsible for such behaviour from our club community. We are steadfast in our mission to foster a welcoming, positive, and united environment—both on and off the pitch—where everyone can take pride in being part of the Welling United family.

We call upon our supporters and local community to stand with us. If you witness discrimination, report it. Together, let us protect the integrity of our club and ensure that hate has no place in our game.

Football is for everyone. Let us keep it beautiful.
