Welling United return to action at Park View Road on Saturday as they host Burgess Hill Town (3pm).

The Wings will be looking for a vital three points to kickstart their season and start looking up the table to close the gap between themselves and the safety zone in the Isthmian League Premier Division table.

Greg Cundle will remain sidelined as he continues his recovery from a dislocated shoulder, while Ruben Shakpoke and Luke Allen will have to be assessed after being forced off with injuries in midweek.

Meanwhile, TQ Addy is also likely to remain unavailable, but Welling will be hoping for Luke O’Neill to have recovered from the illness which kept him out of Tuesday’s defeat to Follestone Invicta.

THE OPPOSITION

Burgess Hill have maintained a steady start to their campaign following promotion to step three, currently occupying 15th place in the league table having won four, drawn five and lost five of their 14 games played.

They have suffered just one defeat in their last five league outings which came in the form of a 2-0 home defeat to Canvey Island last time out.
