Welling United are delighted to welcome defender Mert Apat on loan from Alfreton Town.
The 21-year-old centre-back began his career in Leyton Orient’s academy, before getting his first taste of men’s football with FC Barkingside in 2022.
Spells with Wingate & Finchley, Great Wakering Rovers and Hendon followed, prior to a move to Concord Rangers for the 2023/24 season.
His career then took him to Dartford and then Hashtag United, before joining National League outfit Alfreton this summer.
Standing at a towering 6ft 6in, Apat now arrives at Park View Road on an initial one-month loan.
Meanwhile, the club can confirm that Cory Adjetey-Brew has been recalled from his loan by parent club Queens Park Rangers.
Welling United would like to thank Cory for his efforts whilst with the Wings and with him all the very best in what we are sure will be a very bright future career.
