Welling United were proud to visit Riverdale Care Home in Welling to help spread some festive cheer on Tuesday.

Welling United Supporters’ Association (WUSA) representatives Dave Brown, Sally Kirkpatrick and Dave Kirkpatrick were joined by Wings boss Ryan Maxwell as they spent time with residents and handed out a number of gift bags, club merchandise and complimentary tickets to upcoming home fixtures, giving residents the opportunity to feel even more connected to their local football club.

Wings CEO, Paul Barnes, said: “The visit served as a reminder that Welling United is about more than just what happens on the pitch. We want to make a positive difference in our local area.

“We would like to thank Riverdale Care Home for welcoming us so warmly and say a huge thank you to Dave, Sally, Dave and Ryan for giving their time and energy to make the visit such a special occasion.

“The visit highlights the strong bond between the club and its supporters. Working alongside WUSA in this way demonstrates what can be achieved when everyone connected to Welling United pulls together with a shared purpose. It is this sense of unity, care and community spirit that defines who we are as a football club.”
