Welling United head to Ramsgate in the fourth round of the Velocity Cup on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).
The Wings booked their date against the Rams thanks to a 3-1 victory over Folkestone Invicta at Park View Road in round three, while Ramsgate defeated Ashford United 4-1 at home to set up the clash at Southwood Stadium.
THE OPPOSITION
Ramsgate sit in 10th place in the Isthmian League Premier Division having won six, drawn eight and lost six of their 20 games played, so far.
They have enjoyed a rich run of form since the appointment of former Wings boss Lee Martin with three wins and two draws from their last five outings.
The Rams come into the cup tie off the back of a 2-2 draw at Whitehawk on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
Welling United claimed three big points with a 2-1 win at Ramsgate when the sides last met in October.
After falling behind early on in what turned out to be an incident-filled encounter, the Wings hit back with goals from John Ufuah and Logan Dobbs either side of the break, before three red cards were brandished – two for the hosts and one for Rod Stringer’s men, who held on to claim a well-deserved win on the Kent coast.
