Welling United’s Vanarama National League South fixture against Taunton Town at Park View Road on Saturday has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Due to the plunging temperatures in recent days and concern surrounding the playing surface, a referee was called to undertake a pitch inspection on Friday afternoon.
With the pitch having failed to thaw, and with more below-freezing temperatures forecast, the decision was made to postpone Saturday’s fixture.
The Wings Bar will still open for Saturday evening’s World Cup quarter-final clash between England and France from 5pm.
Any tickets already purchased for the match will be valid for the re-arranged fixture.
A new date will be announced once confirmed.
