Welling United head to Somerset on Saturday as they. take on league-leaders Yeovil Town at Huish Park (3pm).

Wings boss Rod Stringer will be hoping for a reaction from his side after they suffered a first defeat in nine outings at Farnborough on Tuesday, despite a spirited second-half performance, as they look to keep their heads above the relegation zone with 10 games left to play.

In terms of team news, Welling welcomed Chiori Johnson back to action in midweek after a spell on the sidelines and will be pushing for a start.

TJ Bramble, however, remains an injury doubt.

THE OPPOSITION

The Glovers have tasted the the joy and despair of a journey up the league pyramid and down again over the last 20 years. After embarking on a meteoric rise from the Conference to the Championship between 2003 and 2013, they have since plummeted back down the leagues before suffering relegation to the National League South last April.

Their eyes are firmly set on an immediate return, however, and an impressive season, so far, has seen them lead the way throughout, currently enjoying a 12-point lead in top spot, with the league title nearly in their grasp.

Yeovil have amassed 79 points from their 36 matches played, winning 24, drawing seven and losing just five games this term. One of those five defeats was, of course, at the hands of the Wings.

LAST TIME OUT

Welling secured an outstanding victory over the Glovers in the reverse fixture back in November, coming from behind to smash four past the table-toppers.

Jordan Young put Yeovil into the lead early on, only for Kain Adom to hit back for the hosts before half-time.

That was followed by a Tristan Abrahams goal spree as the forward helped himself to a hat-trick in 12 second-half minutes to round off a memorable afternoon in DA16.
