Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of left-back Paul Osew.

The 23 year-old emerged through the youth ranks at AFC Wimbledon and went on to make 75 senior appearances for the Dons, of which 59 outings came in the league.

He made the move to Northampton Town towards the end of the 2022/23 season, making four appearances for the Cobblers before joining Woking in December 2023, playing five times and scoring once.

Osew becomes the second new arrival at Park View Road in as many days following Alex Lankshear joining on loan from Blackpool on Thursday as Wings boss Rod Stringer looks to strengthen his options in defence.

Speaking of his new additions, Stringer said: “I’m really excited to bring in two left-sided players. Alex is a left-sided centre-half who can also play at left full-back, while Paul is an attacking left-back with experience who brings us versatility down the left-hand side.

“They’ll both be good signings for us, replacing Jacob Mensah and Oscar Borg who have left the club. It gives us balance on that left side of defence.”
