After a two-week break, Welling United return to league action as they host Bath City at Park View Road on Saturday (3pm).
In what will be the Wings’ last home game before Christmas, they will be looking for some festive cheer and continue their recent run of form which has seen them remain unbeaten in four games in all competitions.
Welling occupy 18th position in the Vanarama National League South table, six points clear of the dropzone, and will hoping to look up and finish the calendar year in positive form.
In terms of team news, Daniel Martin and Chiori Johnson will miss out through injury, as will Harvey Walker, who remains a long-term absentee.
THE OPPOSITION
The Romans have found themselves involved in the scrap at the bottom end of the league, leading to the departure of Manager Jerry Gill last month after seven years in the hot seat at Twerton Park.
Caretaker Manager Lee Kendall will continue to lead Bath while they search for their new boss.
They find themselves in 20th position with five wins, four draws and 11 defeats from their 20 games played, so far, and come into the game with just one victory in 12 in all competitions, with no league win away from home this term.
Their most recent outing came in a 2-1 home defeat to Boreham Wood on November 30th.
LAST TIME OUT
The return fixture at Twerton Park in August saw Bath claim the points on a somewhat controversial afternoon in Somerset.
Scott Wilson’s 33rd-minute strike proved to be the difference, while Jack Burchell was dismissed in questionable fashion following a second yellow card and the Wings were denied a stonewall penalty late on by the official.
