Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of left-sided defender Charles Ondo.
The 21-year old came through the youth ranks at Millwall before joining Huddersfield Town’s academy in 2020.
A four-year spell in West Yorkshire saw Madrid-born Ondo make his senior debut for the Terriers in a 2-0 victory over Hull City in the Championship and made a total of two league appearances before embarking on a loan spell with League of Ireland First Division side Waterford in 2023.
Ondo showed his versatility in a number of position for Huddersfield’s U21s, before departing the club last summer and he joined Ebbsfleet United in August.
After one National League appearance for Fleet this term, he joined Hemel Hempstead Town for a loan spell in October and now joins the Wings to bolster Rod Stringer’s options on the left side of his defence.
A full international for Equatorial Guinea, Ondo has earned four caps for his country.
Meanwhile, the club can confirm that Kwaku Donkor has returned to his parent club Blackpool following the expiration of his loan deal.
Welling United would like to thank Kwaku for his efforts while at Park View Road and wish him all the very best in his future career.
