Welling United head to north London on Tuesday evening as they take on Enfield Town at the Dave Bryant Stadium (7.45pm).
The Wings will be looking to gain three vital points against the side which lies one place below them in the dropzone and look to increase the gap from five points to eight.
Rod Stringer’s squad are in a good position in terms of fitness with TJ Bramble expected to be available again after a recent spell on the sidelines, although Chiori Johnson may have to be assessed after picking up a knock during the weekend’s draw with St Albans City at Park View Road.
THE OPPOSITION
Enfield are experiencing their first season in National League South after winning promotion from the Isthmian Premier via the play-offs last May by beating Chatham Town 3-0 in the final.
They are embroiled in a relegation battle to avoid an immediate return to step three and come into the game in 21st position with seven wins, five draws and 18 defeats from their 30 games played, so far.
Gavin Macpherson’s side have enjoyed some positive form in recent weeks and come into the game four games unbeaten, winning their last two.
Their last outing saw them secure all three points with a 1-0 victory at fellow strugglers Aveley.
LAST TIME OUT
Ten-man Welling beat Enfield 1-0 at Park View Road in the reverse fixture in October.
Daniel Martin’s first-half freak goal from a corner which flew straight in proved to be the difference on an evening which saw Martell Taylor-Crossdale miss a penalty and Alex Lankshear sent off.
All in all, the Wings’ determination and effort saw them through to secure three deserved points.
