Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of defender Eric Wilhelm.
The German-born left-sided centre-back came through as a youngster with TSV Havelse in the third tier of German football, before making the move to England earlier this year.
After a brief spell with Broadbridge Heath at the back end of last season, the 21-year-old now arrives at Park View Road as part of boss Lee Martin’s rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Speaking after signing for the Wings, Wilhelm said: “I was looking for a club to settle down at and, from the conversations I’ve had with the gaffer, this is a really good place to do that, so I’m really excited to get going.
“I’m a left-sided central defender, dominant in the air, good recovery pace and a strong left foot for playing out. I’ll always give 110% for whatever club I play for and that’s something I pride myself on.”
His new boss Martin, meanwhile, added: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Eric.
“He’s a promising young left-footed centre-back from Germany who popped up on our radar and adds valuable balance to our defence.
“He’s quick and powerful, and also has the ability to step in with the ball, which gives us a fantastic opportunity to initiate our build from either side.
“I’m really looking forward to watching his development this season.”
