Welling United’s pre-season continues with a penultimate friendly of the summer against Herne Bay at the Crest Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Wings come into the game off the back of a 3-2 victory  at VCD Athletic at the weekend and boss Lee Martin will be close to finalising his plans ahead of the opening day trip to Cheshunt on August 9th.

THE OPPOSITION

Herne Bay will ply their trade in the Isthmian League South East Division again this upcoming season having finished 16th last term.

Their pre-season campaign has seen them beat Hollands & Blair 5-0 at home, before losing 2-0 to Phoenix Sports. A 2-1 win over Chipstead followed, while they recorded a 7-2 victory over Hythe Town earlier this month.

Most recently, Herne Bay shared a 2-2 draw with Dartford last Tuesday, before defeating Lewisham Borough 5-1 on Saturday.
