Welling United go again on Saturday as they host Lewes at Park View Road on Saturday (3pm).
After the bizarre circumstances which surrounded the abandonment of the Wings’ meeting with Aveley in DA16 on Tuesday evening, Lee Martin will be hoping for his side to get their first points on the board this weekend.
Welling’s squad was hit with illness in midweek with Tom Leahy and Jack Leahy both missing out against Aveley after being struck down, so Martin will be hoping to be able to call upon the brothers against Lewes.
Meanwhile, Luke O’Neill continues to be a doubt as he nurses the injury he picked up during the opening-day defeat at Cheshunt.
THE OPPOSITION
After finishing 13th in the Isthmian League Premier Division last season, it was a fresh start for Lewes this summer with former Charlton Athletic midfielder Bradley Pritchard being appointed as manager.
They suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Hashtag United on opening day, before picking up a 2-1 win at Carshalton Athletic in midweek with former Wings defender Jack Burchell scoring a 76th-minute winner, while Perri Iandolo was sent off in injury time.
