Welling United hit the road for the second time this season as they head to Chichester City on Saturday (3pm).
The Wings are looking to get their first points on the board following the disappointment of last weekend’s narrow home defeat to Lewes and the busy bank holiday weekend of football provides Lee Martin’s men with a good opportunity to get their season up and running, with Cray Valley (PM) laying in wait two days later at Park View Road.
Luke O’Neill is likely to remain unavailable, while George Evans will continue to follow the concussion protocol following a knock to the head he received during the abandoned clash with Aveley.
THE OPPOSITION
Chichester City are in their second season in the Isthmian Premier after winning promotion via the play-offs in 2024. They finished in sixth place last term, narrowly missing out on a play-off position by three points.
The Lillywhites have made a positive start to the new campaign and are unbeaten, so far, picking up draws with Folkestone Invicta and Whitehawk, before earning a 2-1 away win at Hashtag United last Saturday.
