Welling United are proud to announce that the upcoming Isthmian League Premier Division fixture against Cray Wanderers at Park View Road on Saturday, November 18th (3pm) will be a special matchday dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer and prostate cancer in partnership with NHS Bexley and Bexley Wellbeing Partnership.
Taking place off the back of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the day will see Park View Road turn pink as the Wings show their support for two causes that affect so many families within our community and beyond.
On the day of the match, the Wings will take to the field in a one-off pink and blue strip, produced in collaboration with kit manufacturers HOPE + GLORY. Supporters will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite design from three special edition kits, with the winning choice to be worn by the team on the day. Fans will be able to see the three options and cast their vote from Friday, September 19th.
Replicas of the kit will also be made available for supporters to purchase, with proceeds helping to raise money and awareness for both breast cancer and prostate cancer charities, while the players’ matchworn kit will be auctioned off following the game.
As part of the day, the club will also be hosting a Ladies’ Day event, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere both before and after the big game. Attendees can look forward to prosecco, a spread of sandwiches and a cheese board as well as live entertainment and games throughout the afternoon.

Tickets for the Ladies’ Day event will be priced at £25, which also includes admission to the match. Further details on how to secure your place will be confirmed shortly.
NHS Bexley and Bexley Wellbeing will be sponsoring the campaign and working in partnership with the club to raise awareness.
Wings Community Lead, Paul Barnes, said: “The day will be about us using our platform as a club to raise awareness, to stand with those affected by cancer, and to bring our community together for an important cause.
“We’re very pleased to be working alongside NHS Bexley on such a great initiative and we’re truly grateful for their support.
“We look forward to seeing Park View Road turn pink in November and we hope supporters get behind the cause in whatever way they can.”
