Welling United dust themselves down and go again on Tuesday evening as they head to Parkside to take on Hashtag United (7.45pm).
After a difficult week which saw the Wings suffer two defeats, both in controversial circumstances, they will be looking to bounce back under the lights in Essex.
Ruben Shakpoke will be available after the club successfully appealed his wrongful dismissal in last Tuesday’s clash with Ramsgate at Park View Road, but Scott Simmons will remain suspended following his red card in the FA Cup replay defeat at Slough Town.
Greg Cundle will remain a doubt after he sat out of Saturday’s defeat at Carshalton Athletic due to a gash on his leg suffered against Ramsgate, while Tom Leahy also faces a race against time as he recovers from injury.
Lee Martin will hope to have Christian Scott available after the loanee missed out at the weekend through illness.
THE OPPOSITION
Hashtag sit in 17th position in the Isthmian League Premier Division table with two wins, two draws and five defeats under the belts this season and lie just two points ahead of the Wings who can leapfrog them with a win on Tuesday evening.
After back-to-back defeats to Wingate & Finchley and Cray Wanderers, they secured a 1-1 draw at home to Whitehawk on Saturday.
Tuesday’s meeting will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.
