Welling United begin their London Senior Cup journey for the 2025/26 season when they head to Cray Valley (PM) in the first round on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).

The winners of the tie will go on to host Queens Park Rangers U21s in the second round.

THE OPPOSITION

Cray Valley sit in 17th position in the Isthmian League Premier Division table with  thee wins, two draws and six defeats from their 11 games played.

They come into Tuesday’s cup tie off the back of a 1-1 home draw with Canvey Island on Saturday.

CUP HISTORY

The Wings have lifted the trophy on two separate occasions – the first in 1990 and the second in 2019 when they defeated Brentford B 1-0 to claim the silverware.

The Millers, meanwhile, won the competition in 2017, beating Met Police 2-1 in the final. They reached consecutive finals, getting the opportunity to defend their title in 2018, but fell at the final hurdle with a 4-1 defeat to Balham.

The sides last met in the London Senior Cup in October 2022 with Welling claiming a 1-0 victory at the Artic Stadium in the first round.
